MATTER’s role

Brand Campaign

The problem

Every co-branded phone carries the same risk. The partner's name arrives as decoration, crystals glued onto a gadget, and both names come out smaller than they went in. Motorola and Swarovski wanted a device people would want the way they want an object of fashion. No spec sheet has ever managed that on its own.

The position

One design language, not two logos in a lockup. The razr already owned the gesture, so the flip became the reveal and the object became the jewel that opens. Texture and gesture before spec sheet.

What we made

The launch campaign for the Brilliant Collection. The razr in PANTONE Ice Melt, quilted back, 35 Swarovski crystals placed by hand, a faceted crystal on the hinge, the moto buds loop beside it. Film, out-of-home and co-branded content, shot the way fashion is shot, built to hold one narrative crossing markets.

The Brilliant Collection opened Motorola Collections. The Swarovski partnership has continued since, through Cloud Dancer and into Constellation in 2026.
